I built that!
(in my homelab)
I’m currently documenting machines I have built and code I have written. Sometimes I build machines from scratch, but usually I repurpose end-of-life machines. Here you can see some of the projects I have completed in the last few years.
Fedora Workstation for Container Images with Docker & Podman
Chromebook Turned
Ubuntu
Samba Server
Surface Pro 3 Turned Teen’s Ubuntu Playground
SOHO Network
I built and maintain a stable, secure network for my partner who is an attorney working remotely from our home office on behalf of low-income clients who live across Alaska.
I can do that!

University of Washington
Bachelor’s in Mathematics
Statistical and Applied Mathematical
Sciences Institute’s Summer Program
At the University of Washington,
I worked in the Akey Lab learning
how to use computational approaches
to find out more about human and animal DNA. I practiced practical skills for a technologist, such as collaborating with other researchers and debating text editors (Team Vi/m here). I wrote scripts in Python and Perl to discover new variations between species. As a science geek, it was really fun to see how combining math, tech, and genetics can help us understand who we are as people.
